Looc Lake, in Barangay Looc is the planned site for an open park for all ages and is to be developed as an alternative destination for quality time with nature and love ones.

For several years already, the lake had been adjudged the cleanest and greenest inland body of water in the region under the Gawad Pangulo sa Kapaligiran (GPK) program, formerly known as the Clean and Green program. In the province of Zambales, Castillejos town officials  as well as private project supporters did the ground-breaking for the Looc Lake Development Project that imagines to develop the 1.13 square kilometer national lagoon into a lake resort. This lake resort is established 26 kilometers north of and just 30 minutes away from the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, and just 2.5 hours away from Manila.

The Castillejos planning office has devised a master plan for the Looc Lake Department Project. The master plan comprises facilities like cancers, kayaks and aqua cycles for water sports enthusiasts, facilities for family oriented enjoyment activities such as fishing and picnics and facilities such as floating grill cum bar and restaurant for those who fish for sport and want to cook their caught fish while village bands using inherent instruments are serenading them.  Read More:  http://www.centralluzon.com/content/view/83/9/
