Lantawan View in Silay, Negros Occidental still never fails to give me awe towards the wonders of nature. If you want to detoxify from the busy, hurried life or want to spend quality time with your loved one, the glorious spectacles of nature in this area of Negros is a must for your next destination.

In Hiligaynon, we call a place “lantawan” if that place offers a view. The root word is “lantaw” which means look or watch. A lantawan is an expansion of that term which signifies a platform where you can experience a spectacle or just a plain sight of something. It also means viewing deck. Lantawan View Silay is a perfect hideaway that quietly rests on a slope that faces southwest and has an amazing view of Mount Banderahan, a small mountain that was the last stand of the Japanese Imperial Army in 1945.

Lantawan View Silay has cottages where you and your family, or your barkadas can have picnics or group retreats. This is also the perfect spot where you can spend the night and enjoy the rarest experience of watching the night sky bereft of any light pollution of the city as well as experience the cool, fresh breezes and the nocturnal sounds of crickets, owls and other night creatures.

It also has heart-shaped swimming pool that is four feet deep, perfect for kids. The pool overlooks an amazing view of the western Negrense skies and the horizon of a setting sun that turns fiery red-orange as it sets for the day. Its several cottages can accommodate families and large groups and it’s best to reserve one, especially if you’re planning to visit during the weekend or holidays.   Read More:  https://apinoyinkorea.blogspot.com/2019/10/travelblog-philippines-lantawan-view.html

There is no better way to explore Silay City, Negros Occidental than the winding, curvy mountain road to Patag and to the majestic view of the Lantawan Peak. The road going up to Lantawan Peak is clean and surrounded by mountains of green, tall trees and sugar cane plantations that can be seen along the side. Negros Occidental is the Philippines’ major sugar producer, contributing over half to the country’s total production.

As you approach the top, you will be in awe by the beauty and simplicity of rural life. It was a quiet scenic ride all the way up to Lantawan View Silay. At the top, there is a campground and a distance away is the forest seedling of mahogany trees. The mahogany tree (Swietenia mahagoni) is a large tropical tree with a semievergreen growth habit.

Due to its popularity and known for its view that overlooks the Lantawan Peak, the owner decided to put up an accommodation offering a tent-style accommodations and basic cottages. The place has a bathroom for male and female where you can take a shower and a small store that offers small bites for snack. They have a wide space to park your 4 or 2 wheels service as well.  Read More:  https://www.tripzilla.ph/road-trip-lantawan-view-silay/4210
