Tagaytay is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations. Tagaytay City provides a good view of the Taal Volcano. The city is a popular summer tourist destination because of its cool climate due to its high altitude.

Tagaytay City lies on top of the Tagaytay Ridge, which, at 640 m (2,100 ft) above sea level, is the highest point in Batangas. The ridge provides a spectacular view of Taal Lake and Taal Volcano in Batangas. This view supports Tagaytay’s main industry, which is tourism.

Tagaytay City is located in the Province of Cavite, on the island of Luzon, approximately 55 km (34 mi) south of Manila. It overlooks Manila Bay on the North, Taal volcano and Taal lake on the south and Laguna Bay on the east.   The City is linked by the national highway to the Metropolitan Manila Area and to the Provinces of Batangas and Laguna.

Tagaytay is as close to paradise as one can find. We present this web site in the spirit of fostering this exceptional city and country. For the first time both Filipino’s and visitors alike can enjoy the wonders that Tagaytay and the Philippines offers at very affordable prices, offering exceptional value for the money.

Add in the cool clean air and a sparsely populated city and one has practically found paradise! There are so many sights, places and things to do in Tagaytay.

PLACES OF INTEREST

With its cool climate and clean air, Tagaytay City is the perfect place for leisure activities like picnics, horseback riding, camping, great golfing at two championship courses, plus breath- taking sightseeing.   Tagaytay offers a relaxing and safe haven where you can unwind and lay back after your long haul flight. Tagaytay is just a hop, skip and a jump from Manila’s NAIA International Airport – Ninoy Aquino International Airport, about 90 minutes away, and a short drive from the provinces of Laguna and Batangas.

 Taal Volcano

Taal Volcano

Taal Volcano, reputed to be the world’s smallest volcano, rests on a serene blue lake. From Tagaytay, you can arrange a trip to the volcano island in the middle of Taal Lake.

Picnic Groove , where you can rent cottages for an overnight stay or go horseback riding and play on its mini-park. There’s something for everyone in the family, regardless of their age! Picnic Groove is located along Aguinaldo Highway on the way towards the Royal Taal Inn and Palace in the Sky.

 Enchanted Kingdom

Enchanted Kingdom

Enchanted Kingdom  is definitely for the kids but the entire family will enjoy this as well. It’s only a half hour drive from Tagaytay, located nearby in Binan, Laguna. This is the Philippines version of Disneyland, but at far more reasonable prices.

 Palace in the Sky

Palace in the Sky

Palace in the Sky , the unfinished mansion of former President Ferdinand Marcos, has been converted and renamed the People’s Park in the Sky . Without a doubt this offers the most speculator view of Taal volcano, no if, ands or buts about it!

The Palace in the Sky was built for the official state visit of the former US President and Mrs. Ronald Reagan, though the Reagan’s cancelled their trip due to the general unrest and Marcos’ problems at the time. Looking at the shell of the palace today, it’s hard to imagine the opulence and splendor it enjoyed during its heyday. Hollywood stars like George Hamilton entertained the Marcos’ and their cronies with such ostentatious and fragrant displays of wasting money, it became one of the final nails in the Marcos’ political coffin. They must have had some wild and outrageous parties there!

White Cove Resort

White Cove Resort

White Cove Resort – Though not located within Tagaytay, an excellent beach resort, just 45 minutes from the Royal Taal Inn, will find you in Nasugbu, Batangas at the White Cove Resort. We were very impressed with the clean white sand and clear waters. We recommend a day visit to this beach resort or for an overnight stay in order to top up your sun tan. In fact a dear friend had their honeymoon at the White Cove and can’t stop raving about how great it was. Highly recommended as the White Cove’s Beach is far superior to the waters found elsewhere at Nasugbu.
