Wild Water Rafting is one of the widely popular eco-tourism and outdoor adventures in Davao City. The site for this extreme water sport is the Davao River. The 3 1/2 hour wild water rafting starts from Barrio Tamugan in Calinan, and then ends at the lowlands. The water course features some 30 rapids of varying degrees of difficulty in the 15 kilometers of rough water portion of the Davao River. Snaking in and around the several mighty rapids of twists, bends, and turns along the river makes it more challenging and exciting to wild water rafting enthusiasts. Aside from the thrill of the rapids, one can also feast on the lush greenery of trees and undergrowth along the river banks. There are also occasional sightings of rare animals, such as the Philippine water dragon, predatory birds such as hawks, crows, and smaller ones such as the balinsasayaw – the swiftlet that makes a nest out of its saliva, a prized delicacy in many Asian countries.  Read More:  http://davaocitybybattad.blogspot.com/2011/06/wild-water-rafting.html

Zip City

Davao is not only blessed with lush nature parks, exotic wildlife and beautiful beaches. It is one of the top adventure destinations in the Philippines offering many different kinds of exciting pursuits for the thrill seekers. It is famous for its white-water rafting, diving, trekking and zip lining. It hosts the longest zip line in Asia and there are three more zip line facilities around the region.

On our second day in Davao, I finally got to experience the Philippines’ very own zip line at Zip City Hilltop in Barangay Langub. I had previously tried zip-lining a year ago at Menara Tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where it was known as a “flying fox”. This time however, I had a scenic view of Davao Gulf and Mt. Apo instead of towering skyscrapers around the city.  Read More:  http://www.lakwatseradeprimera.com/davao-zip-lining-at-zip-city-hilltop/

My first destination in New Corilla’s trip was at Panas Inland Resort. Located in Brgy. Carcor, New Corilla, Davao del Norte. This resort is operated by the Local Government Unit of New Corilla. Panas resort is clean, beautiful and suitable for big-crowd outing.

Getting closer to nature is one way to relax and spend my weekend. Imagine myself  sitting in the middle of big water terraces in the middle of thick vegetation.  Read More:  http://boylakwatsero.blogspot.com/2012/10/panas-inland-resort-new-corilla-davao.html
