So true. An alluring mix of beauty, physicality, remoteness, and manageable danger, this trek to Tappiya isn’t just about the waterfalls. It’s about the entire experience.

About an hour’s trek from Ramon’s Native Homestay, Tappiya Waterfalls is located in the valley just past that ridge circled below. Looks far I know, but you’ll get there in an hour even at a casual pace.  Read More:  http://www.willflyforfood.net/2015/01/26/trek-to-tappiya-waterfalls-in-batad-banaue-ifugao/

About 30 minutes from Batad Village is a cascading waterfall with its enormous natural pool for swimming. It is a 70 metre fall and has crystal clear water. The site is a popular spot for swimming and picnics. From the Batad Village, one can reach the waterfall by taking a 30 minute walk. A visit to Batad would be incomplete without seeing these beautiful waterfalls.

Then finally, we experienced our first glimpse of the Tappiya Falls from a shed about a few feet from the waterfalls. It was just beautiful!

The 230 feet waterfalls was too inviting, we hurriedly went down to finally get a taste of it.

The water was so cool and calming, perfect for relaxing your tired body and beating the summer heat. I heard that people can only swim and enjoy the falls during summer, as the cold water is bearable. But during rainy season, the water is freezing cold. Well, we were lucky that we went there during summer.

Swimming and enjoying the cool water was also a chance for some wacky photo ops and also meeting a lot of really inspiring travelers from all over the world! Had a chance to chat to some Koreans, Japanese, Filipinos, Americans and some Europeans.  Read More:  http://jontotheworld.com/tappiya-falls-batad-ifugao/
