 The Royal Northwoods Golf Club

A jewel in the rough. That perhaps is the best way to describe the Royal Northwoods Golf Club. Located in the rice field confines in the quiet town of San Rafael, Bulacan, this golf course has more than meets the eye.  As a project conceptualized and built by the Northwoods Realty and Development Corporation, operation of the golf course first started with only nine holes last 1999. Biak-na-Bato National Park

Biak na Bato National Park is one of the country’s ecological and historical treasures encompassing the southern edge of the Sierra Madre range situated a few kilometers from San Miguel Bulacan. Its name literally translates as “split boulders” taken from its unique rocky environment and caves.

Madlum river is the first thing you will notice as soon as you arrive Sitio Madlum Brgy. Kamias, San Miguel Bulacan. It is the starting point for cave exploring Mt. Manalmon and Mt. Gola climbing. Even those who are not into those activities can just go for a cold plunge, a sweet escape from humid weather. Hiking in Mt. Manalmon

Mt. Manalmon is one of the most visited mountain in Northern Luzon. It’s very accessible and easy to locate. This mountain will just need a 1-2 hours of trekking that made it good for beginners. It features additional nature trip such as caving, splashing in the river and the famous rope walking activity on top of the Madlum River. It lies on another mountain called Mt. Gola which is also a good vantage point so you can do a twin hike in a single day. It is also part of the historical Biak-na-Bato National Park in San Miguel, Bulacan. Spelunking the Bayukbok Cave

At first, I thought that we were about to go to a historical cave in Biak na Bato where wide holes and large hideouts can be seen. Well, I was wrong. Bayukbok cave is a popular attraction in San Miguel so I expected an easy “walk in the park” caving adventure like what we did in Calinawan Cave in Tanay. But then again, I was wrong! I never thought that an extreme spelunking experience that will pump up our adrenalin awaits us.

The Barasoain Church Historical Landmark is composed of the church and the adjoining convent. The original church burned down in 1884 and was rebuilt the following year by Fr. Juan Giron, O.S.A. The Museo ng Republika ng 1899, housed in the historical landmark, has five galleries.
