Salt Festival or also known as Asinan Festival is celebrated every February 20 each year at San Lorenzo, Guimaras. This festival aims to shows us how they appreciate, cherish and use salt in their daily lives especially the food they prepare like tuyo and other fish products. In this particular event you would be also amazed at the way they used salt as part of their customs and props in their yearly dance contest which also consist of different age groups, schools and barangays. Marvel at how the ordinary salt has gravitated the people of San Lorenzo into an annual gathering held every February 20th in San Lorenzo, Guimaras with all the delicious trimmings of specialty products.
