INTERESTING PLACES IN ROMBLON

A cluster of 20 islands and islets, of 17 municipalities and 17 dialects is the province of Romblon, the marble capital of the country. Its capital town, also named Romblon in the island of the same name is the heart of the province, geographically and politically.

This island capital is situated in between the bigger islands of Sibuyan and Tablas. Sibuyan Island is known for its white sand beaches and for Mt. Guiting-Guiting, a favorite trek for mountaineers, while Tablas Island also harbors great beaches apart from being the gateway to the province by air.

But Romblon Island beckons everyone with its own beauty – numerous unspoiled dive sites, white sand island beaches and caves, lovely people and its inland treasures of historical and religious significance. Go island and beach hopping to best experience the sand, sea and sun of one of the most overlooked destinations in the country.  Read More:  http://www.lakwatsero.com/destinations/travel-guide-romblon-island/

For mountaineers like myself who had just completed the challenge of traverse expedition in Mt Guiting Guiting, a sidetrip to Cresta de Gallo becomes a well deserved downtime from a hectic itinerary. Cresta de Gallo is an island close to the Paradise Island of Sibuyan surrounded by shoals of shallow azure waters in white powdery sand beach. Romblon is one of the four provinces comprising MIMAROPA which is a combination of the first syllables of each province namely Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan. Scattered in the Visayas, MIMAROPA is a group of “group of islands” which each provinces having their own tropical paradise to boot.  Read More:  http://www.pala-lagaw.com/2016/06/romblon-cresta-de-gallo.html

Romblon was known for marble but i just don’t know if there were marble in Tablas but i do know and the web can prove that it has amazing green places to boast.  It is also ten miles north of the world famous beach resorts of Boracay Island.  Tablas Island offers a charming discoveries for every expectant visitor.  The island’s unexploited beauty offers exclusivity and affordability without compromising the luxurious feeling of a grand beach vacation. Read More:  http://www.mygreenlivingideas.com/amazing-green-place-tablas-island-romblon/

Sibuyan Island

Backpacking to Sibuyan, Romblon is one of the most long, challenging but rewarding adventures we’ve been to.

Sibuyan is famed as the “Galapagos of Asia”. The island’s origin has never been connected to any part of the Philippines archipelago, blessing it with a unique rich biodiverse ecosystem teeming with endemic flora and fauna.

Let’s explore Sibuyan’s natural playground as we swim in the cleanest river Catingas, basked on the white sands and turquoise waters of Cresta de Gallo Islet, hike the many waterfalls of Dagubdub, examine the rare pitcher plant and witness one of the most technical climbs in the Philippines Mt. Guiting Guiting.  Read More:  http://www.ourawesomeplanet.com/awesome/2016/09/sibuyan-island-romblon-intinerary.html
