Siete Pecados is the most known and closest snorkeling destination around Coron. The literal meaning of the name Siete Pecados is “Seven Sins”. The legend has it that seven sister went swimming against their mothers will, all of them drowned and afterwards seven islands appeared.

The marine life around the Islands are amazing, when you snorkel you will see countless of fishes and the bottom is covered with hard corals. Read More:  http://aquahabitatcoron.com/siete-picados.html

The turquoise water surrounding Siete Pecados is usually cold all year round. But despite the cool temperature, it is still one of the most sought-after spots in Coron. Why? It’s because snorkeling in Siete Pecados is like swimming in a giant aquarium! Schools of fishes of various species and color magnificently swim underwater occasionally accompanied by other sea creatures like small squids, octopus, and baby sharks. And because the water is crystal clear, one can see the fishes swarming together even while seated inside the boat. One can also feed the fishes from the boat though it’s generally discourages so as not to distort the natural food chain in the area’s ecosystem.

So if you happen to be in Coron, never miss the opportunity to discover the wonderful marine life in Siete Pecados. Read More:  http://driftwoodjourneys.com/siete-pecados-a-snorkeling-haven/

When in Coron, one probably would spend most of his time doing various water activities. One particular site known as a haven for snorkelling is Siete Pecados. There are several stories as to why the place is called such. For obvious reasons, Siete Pecados pertains to the cluster of 7 scattered islets-slash-rocks nearby mainland Coron (off the shores of Maquinit Hotspirngs). This is a protected area in the town that boasts amazing underwater wonders, from coral formations to colorful fishes.  The emerald coloured sea water is crystal clear that one can easily look into the approximately 25 to 30-foot sea bed from the boat. The marine life in the area is evidently teeming. Read More:  https://roamulofied.wordpress.com/2015/08/10/siete-pecados/
