Lemlunay is a word of T’boli origin, and also used by the other tribes in the Sarangani/South Cotabato area. Generally, Lemlunay is a cultural part of these tribes, and loosely defined, Lemlunay means “paradise”.
Lemlunay Resort is located at the southwest corner of Sarangani Bay in the Province of Sarangani. Looking out the ocean you will see Sarangani Bay to the left and the Sulawesi sea to the right. The bay has a wealth of good diving and the best location is the huge Tinoto Wall.
Lemlunay is one of the best dive sites in the province where one can enjoy vast underwater flora and fauna. The site is known even to foreign tourists. Depending on the location of your dive, you will find a wide variety of hard and soft coral, huge gorgonians, sponges and an endless array of reel life. Lemlunay Dive Resort is located in Maasim, Saranggani Province. It’s a town approximately thirty minutes drive from the urban environment of General Santos City. The resort was originally marketed as South Point Divers, a diving resort. But right now, the owner is working on renovating and improving the resort to attract more guests that are not limited to divers but to regular tourists as well.
