Located in Brgy. Bonbon in Catarman, the Old Guiob Church Ruins was one of the structures that remained standing after the disastrous eruption. Although the church has lost its roof, its sturdy walls and columns still stand today — a massive, beautiful physical reminder of an almost apocalyptic past; a scar. The church of the Old Catarman town was destroyed and partly submerged by volcanic debris during the eruption and formation of Mount Vulcan on May 13, 1871. Only the ruins of the church and bell tower remains of the old town.  Read More:  https://thetravelad.wordpress.com/2016/06/14/gui-ob-church-ruins-catarman-camiguin/
