HAVING A FUN TIME IN LEYTE

There are many enjoyable activities to choose from when you are in Leyte. These activities range from simple volleyball games on the beach, to a more adventurous deep sea diving and other challenging activities. They provide endless fun for daring individuals and enjoyment even for the whole family. Below is a list of possibilities, but there can be much more for everyone’s choice.

For adrenaline-junkies looking for something new, canyoning offers an action-packed adventure with lots of activities all rolled into one. For mountaineers who like nature trails, accessing the sites often involves hiking through virgin forests and scrambling through rocks and boulders amidst spectacular scenery. There’s the fun factor of sliding down natural waterslides. Similar to rock climbing, your focus is put to the test whenever you rappel down with the full force of the cascade pummeling down on you. Then there’s that adrenaline rush and intense feeling of satisfaction of overcoming your fears whenever you have to cliff-dive or jump down from dizzying heights into icy cold basins below.  Read More:  https://www.traveling-up.com/extreme-canyoning-in-biliran/

With the Agas-Agas Bridge now formally opened to vehicular traffic, the local government of Southern Leyte now moves to turn the P1.024-billion bridge into a haven for extreme sports enthusiasts who are into bungee jumping, rappelling, paramotor, downhill skateboarding and zip lining, among other extreme sports.  Read More:  https://gerryruiz.wordpress.com/2009/08/11/agas-agas-bridge-rappelling/

Mountain Climbing

We were scrambling our way to the top against trees, loose paths & slippery leaves. It would have been an ultimate disaster if I have my 12-kg back pack with me. We didn’t really know before hand that we’d be trekking to Mt. Janagdan without our big backpacks. But despite the less load, I still feel battered but as usual, the view makes up for every bruise & itchiness earned on the way.

The trek against trees evolved from medium to high when we left the lake. We were no longer just grappling on the trees this time. We were walking, balancing, hugging and some more with the trees. It feels like Talinis but in a higher level. In between, tree grappling, we are also endangered by the very unstable pathways of grass, roots & loose leaves. Despite being battered, we were easily amused of Alto Peak’s view in the right & lake Janagdan on the left.  Read More:  https://thewanderfulllife.wordpress.com/2015/05/25/climbing-mt-janagdan-in-ormoc-city-leyte/
