INTERESTING PLACES IN CAMIGUIN

The nice climate and the steep hills, the widespread evergreen forest cover that is home to a wide range of different bird species, the amazing scenery and views, and the nice cool sea breeze blowing from the ocean, will absolutely make you feel relaxed when visiting Camiguin Island in the Philippines.

You can board a ferry to reach this amazing island or use a simple pump boat that is more common to access the other small islands within, such as the white island, where you can go for sunbathing or surfing in the mild waves. You can join the locals in game fishing and catch some fresh tuna and barracuda. The locals are friendly and hospitable and they can guide you around. To go around the island, you can use motorbikes or rent a minivan with a driver to access various nice spots.

Some of the favorite tourist attractions in Camiguin Island include both cold and hot springs, the Katibawasan waterfalls with a large amount of water plunging into the stream that flows around the island. You may also find various crops such as fruits and coconuts along the way to replenish your thirst.    Read More :  http://www.islandsofthephilippines.com/2014/11/this-is-camiguin-island-in-the-philippines/

Tuasan Falls

Tuasan Falls is located 6 kilometers northeast of Catarman.

This natural attraction is still undeveloped and Kuya Criz mentioned that this particular waterfalls is more beautiful than Katibawasan, but it’s unknown to most tourists due to its inaccessibility, though when I was there, the roads were already being fixed.  So was the access point going to the falls.

The water was cold and the rushing water in some areas was very strong, even deep so prepare to get wet even when you have no plans of swimming.  The rocks were also slippery that twice, one of my flip-flops was swept away by the current.

By the way, I spoke with their guide and was told they were priests.  Interesting.

I wanted to come close, but the falls’ impact was too strong I could feel splashes of water 5 meters from its drop.  And boy, was it cold!

I must say that Tuasan Falls is a must-see when in Camiguin.  Its rugged beauty is just amazing! Read More: https://thoughtstalesandwhatnot.com/2014/07/21/camiguin-tuasan-falls/
