LET’S HAVE FUN IN PALAWAN

Palawan is a nature sanctuary. Mother Nature has bestowed this province a lot of blessings – thick rain forests, excellent dive sites, majestic mountains, primeval caves, pristine beaches and many more. With this plethora of natural surroundings, there’s absolutely no reason not to enjoy! Visitors are sure to find a wealth of worthwhile outdoor activities waiting to be discovered. The islands here host an impressive diving scene, and a good portion of Palawan’s visitors explore as many of the reefs as time permits.

The Puerto Princesa Underground River is not the only cave you should go into when you go to Sabang Port. I also highly recommend that you try going inside Ugong Rock and break a little sweat as you push yourself upward to a cave.

I personally experienced this when we first visited the Underground River last October of 2010 via a daytour package. – Text from: http://www.lakas.com.ph/2012/03/ugong-rock-caving-and-zipline-in-tagabenit-puerto-princesa-palawan/

Motorcycling

Rent a motorcycle or scooter on the island of Palawan. Roads to the two main site of the island – El Nido and Sabang (Underground river) has already been done. The trip can be done on a motorcycle and an automatic scooter. Along the way there are gas stations, tire service, roadside cafe. But, if you plan to travel long distances as Port Barton and El Nido better rent a motorbike with thick off-road tires, since 60% of our clients who rents scooters automatic pierce wheel 1 or 2 times on the way. If you plan to visit more wild places such as Quezon (Tabon Cave) or the surroundings of El Nido, better to rent a motorcycle with off road tire. Biking

I’m looking for a little more adventure than simply relaxing on the beaches. I’m imagining this pleasant little island road, perhaps with a few potholes, etc., winding along the coast past picturesque beaches and tiny little villages, the perfect opportunity to take it slow, hike it or bike it, have the chance to jump in the ocean regularly, then stop somewhere in the evening and crash for the night then keep moseying along the next day. Ziplining

The 750 meter ride from Las Cabañas Beach to Depeldet Island is one of the best ways to see El Nido from a bird’s eye-view. Going here, you’ll need to hike for about ten minutes, but it’s perfect to prepare yourself for the adrenaline rush. You can either do the one-way or two-way ride. Be prepared to cross the sandbar going back to Las Cabañas Beach if you want to hop off at Depeldet Island. Text from: http://windowseat.ph/scenic-zip-lines-ph/
